Filstar®
had a pragmatic start |
 |
| In
1999 the development of FILSTAR began as a part of the
production line of valves. By 2002 Filstar's unique three
part optisep® technology was ready for commercial production.
Marketing began in August of that year. As a part of this
a single unit was placed in the paint pre-treatment washing
section of a motorcycle manufacturer's plant to remove
iron powder and sand from the wash water. |
 |
| Normally,
multiple elemented industrial filters are required in
an attempt to avoid expensive plant downtime. Even then
there is the additional expense of an operative to monitor
and maintain these filters. Clogging is common with a
consequence of idle plant and regular element exchange
or back flush is necessary. |
 |
| The
compact Filstar unit was found to be simple to fit and
continues to be maintenance and clog free. Plant became
more productive and the operative was released for other
duties. Large cost and productivity benefits were realised. |
 |
| Since
this time growth and penetration have been rapid. Car
manufacturers were quick to realize its benefits and readily
adopted Filstar throughout their plant with one already
using it globally. Others that rapidly took advantage
include the electrochemical and process industries, food
and drink processors and the water treatment sector. Filstar's
competitive advantage is now available for you. |
