| Filstar takes
inflow mixtures of 30 to 50% solid in the carrier liquid.
This enters a super-centrifugal zone. Here the solid material
is subjected to extremely high forces. Despite this technological
development and precision engineering has developed a
device that generally has a lifetime as long as the connecting
pipework. Unlike hydrocyclones which often have a short
life the durability of Filstar is not a problem, but all
units do carry a 12 month warrant just in case. |

| The durability
of Filstar (all sizes) depends on the material the unit
is made from, the nature and type of liquid and solid
along with the flow pressure, Liquids and solids can be
acidic, basic or neutral. Materials can be inorganic or
organic. Particles can be sharp or dull as well as hard
or soft. The actual rate of wear depends on these factors
and the enduser. |

over four months was done using a mixture of metal scraps
in water. |
