| A compact Filstar
unit has no element to clog or exchange and back flush
or downtime is not necessary. Standard units separates
more than 98% of 10 micron or larger of solids in suitable
solid liquid mixtures and is actually separates smaller
particles as a bonus ( 50% of the 5 micron solids). Special
units can achieve the 98% separation at the 1 micron level. |

| The minimum
volume underflow solids contain little liquid (just enough
to allow flow). They are available for waste disposal,
recycling as reactant, optimum product yield or valuable
solids salvage. |
